Description
The morning concerts in the Holy Week have already become a beloved tradition. They began as an experiment in 2022. Who will take the time to join us for a concert before breakfast? Our delight was immense when, from the very beginning, many enthusiastic visitors celebrated the dawn of a new day with us. Many of those who had planned to pass by just once did not miss a single one of the five “musical-literary sunrises” with the singers of the Company of Music and festival director Nadja Kayali as reciter. The half hour with music and texts in the magical atmosphere of the church, always lit by the sun in different ways, was pure soul food. The gatherings afterwards stimulated intriguing conversations.
We look forward to seeing you (again)! This year, the alternating music programme creates a special ambience for new literary works written by five renowned women writers especially for the morning concerts. In their texts, they reflect on the festival theme “Freedom” with diverse approaches and compelling associations.
